EL3162 analog giriş terminali, 0 ile 10 V aralığındaki sinyalleri işler. Gerilim, 16 bitlik bir çözünürlüğe dijitalleştirilir ve daha yüksek seviyeli otomasyon cihazına elektriksel olarak izole edilmiş olarak iletilir. EtherCAT Terminalinin giriş kanalları, ortak toprak potansiyeli olarak referans toprağa sahiptir. EtherCAT Terminalinin sinyal durumu ışık yayan diyotlarla gösterilir.
